KFBK – Sacramento Tops List for Bed Bug Infestations

bedbugsonmattressPest Control company Terminix says it has seen a 54 percent rise in calls for bed bugs in the first five months of this year when compared with the same period last year. The pests can travel in luggage, folded clothing or on furniture, and their bites can take up to two weeks to show up.

Although bites might not be instantly visible, there are some other signs to look for including blood on the sheets from rolling over on the bugs and crushing them and also the shells from the bugs themselves, said Agnes Norman with Sacramento County Disease Control.
